About
About Clavox and its founder, Samuel Eniola
Clavox is voice intelligence for your computer. It was founded and built by Samuel Eniola, who wanted a way to write at the speed of thought without sending his voice to anyone.

What Clavox is
Clavox (clavox.ai) is a voice intelligence and dictation app. You press one shortcut, speak the way you think, and Clavox types clean, ready-to-send text into whatever app you’re using: an email, a chat, a document, notes or a code editor.
It isn’t just dictation. Dictation writes down what you said. Clavox writes what you meant: it drops the ums, follows you when you change your mind, fixes the grammar, and shapes your words into an email, a message or notes, in the style the moment needs.
Clavox runs entirely on your own computer. Speech recognition and AI editing both happen on your machine, so your words never leave it, and after the first setup download it works without the internet.
Clavox launches on 18 November 2026, on Mac and Windows first, then Linux, iPhone and Android. The launch is streamed live on our YouTube channel.
The founder: Samuel Eniola
Clavox was founded by Samuel Eniola, who designs and builds it. He also narrates the Clavox launch film, where he introduces it in one line: he built Clavox so your voice becomes your keyboard.
Samuel writes on the Clavox blog about how Clavox is built and why it works the way it does. You’ll also find him in every welcome email to the waitlist.
Why Clavox exists
Your computer can do billions of things a second, and then it waits for you to type one letter at a time. Most people speak at about 150 words a minute and type at about 40. Somewhere between the mind and the screen, ideas get cut, and it’s rarely the dull ones that go.
Voice should have fixed this years ago. In practice, most dictation still has two problems.
It writes down exactly what you said. People don’t talk in finished sentences. Plain dictation keeps every um and every false start, so you spend the time you saved fixing the text.
It sends your voice somewhere else. Most dictation tools upload your audio to a company’s servers to turn it into text. That means trusting someone else with everything you say, and it means no dictation when the internet drops.
Clavox was built to solve both: to understand what you meant and write it properly, and to do all of that on your own computer.
How Clavox is built
The privacy in Clavox isn’t a setting you switch on, or a promise you have to trust. It’s how Clavox is built.
- On your computer. Speech recognition and AI editing run locally. There is no path for what you say to leave your machine.
- Nothing collected. The Clavox app collects nothing: 0 words sent to us, 0 recordings uploaded, 0 tracking in the app.
- Offline. After the first setup download, dictation works fully offline, on a plane, in a dead zone, anywhere.

What Clavox is not
A few names sound similar, so to be clear:
- Clavox is software. It isn’t the CLAVOX medicine, or any other medicine or pharmaceutical product with a similar name.
- Clavox is not ClawX, or any other app with a similar-sounding name.

How we write about Clavox
Everything on this site describes features that ship at launch. When we compare Clavox with other apps, we use facts from their own public pages, link to them, and date the check. We don’t publish ratings, reviews or testimonials we can’t show you, and we don’t invent numbers: the figures on this site, like typing at about 40 words a minute and speaking at about 150, are common averages, and we say so. If something on this site is wrong, write to [email protected] and we’ll fix it.
